Unique paintings and unique artists
The history of Swedish art includes several well-known names. Two of them is Carl Larsson and Anders Zorn who, besides being colleagues and friends, placed Sweden on the map of art by their portraits of people, both of bathing women and children playing around the family-home Sundborn.
Larsson and Zorn were part of a trio together with Bruno Liljefors who became popular with his motifs of animals and nature, often birds. His paintings were like photographs and often showed animals in motion. Liljefors was also internationally acknowledged, and he was in the beginning of the 20th century a part of the Berlin Academy of Art.
