Jättadalen-Öglunda Cave
Jättadalen is a place fit for giants, with rugged cliffs and jagged boulders that look as if they were hurled there in a fit of rage. At Öglunda Cave, however, it’s best not to be too tall. From the lookout point, you’re treated to a magnificent view of Valle, and a hike through the nature reserve is a truly extraordinary experience.
From the steep cliffs of Jättadalen, you can see out over the entire Valle region and all the way to Kinnekulle. The hike up and on to the cave offers plenty of exciting features that make it fairly easy to hike with children, even though the trail is steep and rocky in places. Here you’ll find a spring with fresh, clean water, a rapid with rocks to jump into, a mountain to climb (with ropes and chains to hold onto), many heart-pounding cliffs, and the highlight: a cave.
