About Us
Skara Konsthotell a hotel and restaurant complex featuring 98 guest rooms, conference facilities, a restaurant specializing in local ingredients, and a unique art gallery showcasing paintings by artists such as Anders Zorn and Carl Larsson. From here, we also operate Jula Stadscamping (Skara) and Julas Äventyrsgolf, both located on the premises.
About the position
As Restaurant Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the restaurant at Skara Konsthotell. Your focus will be on engaging, developing, and motivating your team so they have the tools they need to exceed our guests’ expectations. All employees at Skara Konsthotell take significant responsibility for improving work processes and service so we can grow together, but your responsibility also includes leading the dining and bar staff.
You will be responsible for a dining room team of 5–10 employees and will report to the hotel manager. Your work will primarily involve day-to-day operations. You will be part of the hotel’s management team alongside other managers and the CEO. You will be responsible for personnel, quality, and profitability, and will actively work to foster a positive work environment. Your role will involve both operational and strategic responsibilities.
Examples of job responsibilities:
– Provide service/serve customers in our restaurant
– Schedule serving and bar staff
– Develop beverage menus in collaboration with the head chef
– Develop beverage concepts
– Motivate and train serving and bar staff
– Place orders and monitor financial performance
Here is your background and experience:
We are looking for someone with previous experience in the restaurant industry who is eager to take the next step. You have the ability to lead through others and thrive when you see others grow in their roles. You challenge and develop the business in a professional manner. You are passionate about service and have a keen interest in both food and beverages. You are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English. Previous documented experience in similar positions is a plus.
